Things Are Shaping Up:
Here are some photos of the things I have set up in my classroom so far:
The GREEN table has green pens, green scissors, & green supply totes. The Teddy bear & geo board activities are for "free exploration" and may be used after they make their "1st Day" hat. |
The YELLOW table has yellow scissors & totes, but black pens. They will explore Unifix cubes when they are done with their work. |
My Small Group Table. I meet with homogeneous groups here. If you are from the RED table, you sit at the red mat, if you're from the YELLOW table, you sit at the yellow mat, etc. |
Setting Up Centers:
Discover Center, complete with Sands Alive. It never dries out! You can buy it at Jo-Anns. |
Library Center. |
Painting Center covered with a plastic table cloth. Paint supplies labeled with paint sample cards. |
Writing Center |
Keyboard Center where you can explore and create your own music. Headphones are a MUST! :) |
Home and Dress-up Center. Label everything. |
Puppet Center. |
