Our Ceramic Leaves! Let me know what you think.

This is what came out of the kiln this morning!

The lighting was a bit strange, so the colors are not true.
Take a look at the other photos which were taken by a window and have more natural light.

Our leaves were closer to these colors.

I think they will make pretty spoon rests for Thanksgiving.

We used lead-free glaze.  :)

The maroon came out more like a light purple and the orange came out green!

Here is our big, bad kiln.

This was my first view of the leaves in the kiln this morning.

Here are the leaves right after I removed them
from the kiln.  The incandescent lighting
gave them a yellowish tone.

The children will wrap them up and take them home as Thanksgiving gifts for their families.

I ordered the same glazes as last year, yet the leaves turned out so much brighter and the colors turned out to look very different last year:

Last year the same glazes came out of the kiln as maroon, golden, and orange.

So, let me know what you think about our autumn spoon rests.
